Belarus midfielder Pavel Nekhaychik announced "I'm home" after drawing a line under his disappointing stint at FC Dinamo Moskva by sealing a return to FC BATE Borisov.
The 24-year-old has penned a deal that runs until the end of 2014 with Belarusian champions BATE, the club where he started his career before moving to Russia in September 2011. He struggled to break through at Dinamo, making just four Premier League starts, and his contract was terminated last week.
"You always return to your first club with a good feeling: I'm home, all is well," said Nekhaychik, who scored 18 goals in 100 top-flight games in his first spell with BATE. "I'm a classic winger, yet there's no such position in BATE's current system. I will have to change my game but this just makes it all the more interesting. We'll see what happens."
BATE face Fenerbahçe SK in the UEFA Europa League round of 32, with the first leg in Belarus on 14 February.
