Cristiano Ronaldo tells Champions Matchday about the reunion with his old club next week

The latest edition of Champions Matchday sits down with Cristiano Ronaldo. In an exclusive interview with the competition's official magazine, the Real Madrid CF forward opens up about meeting Manchester United FC, his former boss Sir Alex Ferguson and his constant wish to improve. "I've wanted to face United for some time. We are the better team but we have to prove that," he says.

Trying to stop Ronaldo will be Rio Ferdinand. "We've had a few texts but you don't speak until the game's over," the United defender tells Champions Matchday. He talks about his road to the top, recalls winning the UEFA Champions League and describes how United will play in Madrid.

As well as relating the history of United v Madrid, Champions Matchday has the inside story on the knockout stages; assesses the intriguing round of 16 tie between Mircea Lucescu's FC Shakhtar Donetsk and Jürgen Klopp's Borussia Dortmund; crunches the numbers for Galatasaray AŞ v FC Schalke 04; and looks at the technical merits of attacking full-backs, with the focus on FC Barcelona's Daniel Alves.

We have one-on-ones with Arsenal FC's Santi Cazorla, FC Bayern München's Javi Martínez, FC Porto captain Lucho González, and two of Europe's rising stars: Málaga CF's Isco and Mattia De Sciglio of AC Milan. We hear from Paris Saint-Germain FC striker Ezequiel Lavezzi on getting back to his best and profile Valencia CF's talented midfielder Sofiane Feghouli.

Plus expert comment from Guillem Balagué and Sandro Mazzola, the chance to win a signed match ball, and much, much more.

This Champions Matchday edition is available across Europe from today and also comes in digital versions, which can be purchased on Apple Newsstand or Zinio.
