The UEFA European Under-21 Championship trophy

The draw ceremony for the final round of the 2013 UEFA European Under-21 Championship will be held at the Hilton Hotel in Tel Aviv, Israel, on Wednesday 28 November at 19.00 local time (18.00CET). Two groups of four teams will be drawn, with matches scheduled to take place from 5–18 June 2013 at four venues: Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Netanya and Petach Tikva.

During the draw ceremony, the coach of reigning champions Spain, Julen Lopetegui, will hand the trophy over to UEFA President Michel Platini who, in turn, will pass it to Avraham Luzon, president of the Israel Football Association (IFA) and member of the UEFA Executive Committee. Former Israeli internationals and tournament ambassadors Avi Nimni and Eli Ohana will assist with the draw.

Draw procedure
The eight finalists will be split into two groups of four. Israel, as hosts, and Spain, the highest-ranked team, will be seeded and have been allocated positions A1 and B1 respectively. England and the Netherlands, ranked second and third respectively, will be drawn into positions A2 or B2. The remaining four sides – Italy, Germany, Russia and Norway – are not seeded. The seedings are based on the coefficient rankings.
