Shakhtar suffer Hübschman blow
FC Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Tomáš Hübschman will sit out the remainder of the UEFA Champions League group stage after sustaining a thigh injury, ruling him out for up to six weeks.
The 31-year-old Czech international, who joined the Ukrainian champions in 2004, has played every minute of their Group E campaign, which resumes next Tuesday with a trip to FC Nordsjælland. He may well be sidelined until the new year.
Despite succumbing to a late winner at Chelsea FC on matchday four, Mircea Lucescu's side remain top of their section, level on points with the English club and one ahead of Juventus, whom they host in their final group stage fixture on 5 December. Nordsjælland have a single point and must win both their last two games to have any chance of European football in the spring.
