UEFA EURO 2012 wins prize for EURO look

UEFA EURO 2012 had a distinctive event look

Leading sports event branding specialist Icon have been awarded a prestigious sports event management prize for their event look success at this summer's UEFA EURO 2012 final tournament in Poland and Ukraine.

Icon, who are based in the United Kingdom, beat a number of other impressive candidates to win the gold award in the Event Look Category at the International Sports Event Management (ISEM) awards in London.

Icon were rewarded for the implementation of the signage programme for UEFA EURO 2012 – and, more specifically, the integration of the EURO look, and how they captured the spirit and image of the event. The UEFA EURO 2012 brand – the logo and visual identity – was provided by UEFA to Icon, which then made use of its expertise to implement the programme under UEFA's supervision and management.

Icon were involved in their third successive UEFA European Championship, working with teams of local suppliers sourced from within Poland and Ukraine to deliver the complete branding and way-finding programme across all eight stadiums, the International Broadcast Centre in Warsaw, VIP hotels and the team coaches.
